Barrister Gbenga Ojo, House of Assembly aspirant for Ido/Osi Constituency II and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has congratulated Ekiti State Governor, His Excellency, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, on his judicial victory affirming him as the legitimate flagbearer of the APC in the gubernatorial primary election held on October 27, 2025.

According to Ojo, an indigene of Ilogbo-Ekiti, the court’s ruling exposes the futility of baseless distractions and politically motivated attempts to undermine a transparent and duly conducted party process. He described the judgment as a clear endorsement of internal party democracy and a firm rejection of unnecessary political litigation

.“This decision sends a strong message that the era of using the courts as instruments of political intimidation and obstruction is over. Justice has prevailed, and the collective decision of APC members in Ekiti State has been rightfully upheld,” he stated.

Barrister Ojo further commended Governor Oyebanji for remaining resolute, focused, and committed to delivering impactful governance despite distractions, noting that his administration continues to prioritize development, stability, and the welfare of Ekiti citizens.

He called on all aggrieved parties and opposition elements to sheath their swords, respect the judgment, and join hands in the collective task of advancing Ekiti State.“The time for division is over; the time for unity and purposeful governance is now,” he added.Barrister Ojo concluded by describing the victory as one not only for Governor Oyebanji but also for democracy, the APC, and the people of Ekiti State who believe in due process and progress.
