Barrister Abraham Olugbenga Ojo congratulates Governor Oyebanji on Leadership and Telegraph Newspaper ‘Governor of the Year’ Awards.

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Barrister Abraham Olugbenga Ojo, has congratulated the Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, popularly known as BAO, on his emergence as Governor of the Year by Leadership Newspaper and The Telegraph for excellence in infrastructural development.

Barrister Ojo, who hails from Ilogbo-Ekiti, described the awards by the respected media organizations as a testament to Governor Oyebanji’s exceptional leadership style, unwavering dedication, and remarkable achievements in transforming Ekiti State into a model of development and progress since assuming office in 2022.

He recalled first observing the Governor’s distinctive leadership qualities during their meeting in 2020, when Oyebanji served as Secretary to the State Government under the administration of former Governor John Kayode Fayemi. According to Ojo, the Governor’s unassuming, compassionate, approachable, inclusive, respectful, open, and people-centered approach to governance has earned him widespread admiration and loyalty across generations, as well as respect among prominent stakeholders in the state.

Describing Governor Oyebanji as an uncommon developer, a unifier, a mentor, and a leader of impeccable character worthy of emulation, Barrister Ojo emphasized that his visionary leadership has driven all-round development across Ekiti State, justifying his recognition by two of Nigeria’s most reputable newspapers.

He noted that under the Governor’s leadership, the state has experienced a significant surge in infrastructural development, stimulating economic growth and improving social welfare, particularly in rural communities. Ojo further highlighted the prioritization of funding for strategic projects, including the commencement of commercial flight operations at the Ekiti Cargo International Airport in Ado-Ekiti, which he said has enhanced socioeconomic development and positioned Ekiti State as an attractive destination for both local and foreign investment.
